| directions | Meat mixture:
In skillet, Brown sausage and hamburger slowly. Spoon off grease and add next 4 ingredients (basil, salt, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste). Simmer uncovered 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
Noodles:
In large sauce pan, cook noodles in boiling water.
Cheese mixture:
In a medium sized bowl, beat eggs, then add cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, salt, and pepper.
Layer it: 1/2 noodles, 1/2 meat mixture, 1/2 cheese mixture, 1/2 mozzarella cheese. Repeat. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
For smaller families, you can split this into two smaller dishes and freeze one up to 3 months. |
