| directions | | Preheat oven to 375. Grease 2 baking sheets. In medium bowl, beat butter and sugar 5-8 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses and egg until blended. Sift flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt over sugar mix. Stir with a wooden spoon to make a stiff dough. Shape dough into walnut size balls, roll in sugar to coat. Place about 2 1/2 inches on baking sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes. |
